24 Oct 4 Players To Help Build Your Best NBA DraftKings Lineup (10/24/19)
4 Players To Help Build Your Best NBA DraftKings Lineup for October 24, 2019
What’s going on, guys? Below are four of my favorite targets to help build your best NBA DraftKings lineup for Thursday night’s three-game slate.
As always, if you need any further lineup advice, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter.
Top NBA DFS Play:
James Harden (PG/SG, $9,700)
James Harden will continue to be a fantasy monster this season, even with Russell Westbrook in Houston. During the preseason, Harden led the team in usage rate at 37.1%, 5.2% more than Westbrook.
In the final two preseason contests, Harden scored 40 and 44 points respectively.
To start off his 2019-2020 campaign, “The Beard” will be at home against the Milwaukee Bucks. They were the top-rated defense last season, but Harden scored 60.4 DraftKings points per game against them in two matchups.
Playing at home in Houston is a huge boost for the former MVP. Last year, he scored 6.4 more DraftKings fantasy points per game on his home floor.
This is the cheapest he has been since last November and only the third time since the start of the 2017 season that Harden has been priced under $10,000. He should easily top 50+ DraftKings fantasy points.
Value NBA DFS Plays:
Andre Drummond (C, $8,300)
Last night with Blake Griffin (knee, hamstring) out, Andre Drummond erupted for a massive double-double. He scored 32 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in a tough matchup against the Indiana Pacers.
Drummond is averaging 56 DraftKings fantasy points per game in his last eight starts without Griffin. Griffin is out for tonight’s matchup against the Atlanta Hawks.
Last season, Atlanta was the fastest unit in the league, ranked 27th in defensive efficiency, and surrendered the third most rebounds per game.
Drummond flourished in three matchups against them, scoring 55.1 DraftKings fantasy points per game.
The Pistons will be at home on Thursday night, where Drummond scored 6.7 more DraftKings fantasy points per game compared to when he was on the road a year ago.
Lastly, The Pistons are the first team this year to play in back-to-back games, but this shouldn’t slow down Drummond. In 2018-2019, he produced 46 DraftKings fantasy points per game on the second night of back-to-back sets.
He will be the mega-chalk of this small three-game slate, but eat the chalk and lock in Drummond.
Luke Kennard (SG/SF, $4,700)
Luke Kennard stepped up last night with Blake Griffin out of the lineup. In 28 minutes on the court, he recorded 39.25 DraftKings fantasy points in the win against the Indiana Pacers.
Even though Derrick Rose and Kennard didn’t start, they were the primary scorers in Detroit’s offense (behind Andre Drummond).
Kennard saw a 28.5% usage rate, which is a huge 9.8% leap from his average last season.
He hit 8-of-13 shots from the field, including 6-of-9 from beyond the arc.
This matchup tonight against the Atlanta Hawks is appetizing for shooters like Kennard, as Atlanta allowed the third most made 3-pointers per game last year.
Kennard’s role should remain large, and he should continue to exceed expectations.
DeAndre Bembry (SG/SF, $3,200)
At only $3,200 on Draftkings, Bembry is one of the best point-per-dollar values of this slate. He gets a boost to his role with Chandler Parsons and Allen Crabbe both out with knee injuries.
He won’t start, but Bembry should log 25+ minutes off the bench against the Detroit Pistons.
In preseason, he trailed only Trae Young and John Collins in minutes per game.
He generated a solid 0.9 DraftKings points per minute last season and scored 26.5 DraftKings points per game in his final five contests.
He lacks upside, but Bembry is a viable punt play that gives fantasy owners access to multiple studs tonight.
