4 Players To Help Build Your Best NBA DraftKings Lineup for November 1, 2019

by Al Hunter

Happy Friday, everyone.

Below are four player to help build your best NBA DraftKings Lineup for tonight’s eight-game slate.

As always, if you have any further questions, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter.

Top NBA DFS Play:

James Harden (PG/SG, $11,000)

After shooting an underwhelming 29% in the first three games of the season, James Harden found his range against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. He shot 56% from the field, 6-of-14 from the three-point line, and exploded for 79.25 DraftKings fantasy points in the win.

That game was projected to be the highest scoring of Wednesday night’s 11-game slate, and it went well over it’s set total with a ridiculous 159-158 final score. We can’t expect this type of shootout again, but the Houston Rockets are expected to be in another high-scoring affair tonight against the Brooklyn Nets.

This contest currently projects to be the highest scoring game of the night, and it isn’t particularly close. It sits at an over/under of 244 total points, the highest mark of the slate by a staggering 21 points. This is easily the highest total this season, and fantasy owners want as much exposure as possible.

Harden, as he always does, will excel in this situation. In the only three career games that he competed in with a total of 240 points or more, he is averaging 60 DraftKings fantasy points per game. Furthermore, Houston has the highest implied team total on the board at 124.25 points.

In his previous 26 games in which his team presented a team total of 120 points or more, Harden is supplying 62.3 DraftKings fantasy points per game. The Nets have been one of the best matchups in the NBA for opposing guards with Kyrie Irving in town.

They currently rank 22nd in defensive efficiency and second in pace. This is an extremely reasonable price tag for Harden in a great spot. He is the unanimous top overall play for tonight’s slate.

Value NBA DFS Plays:

Andre Drummond (C, $9,500)

On Wednesday night, Tristian Thompson produced 49.5 DraftKings fantasy points against the terrible Chicago Bulls’ defense. The Bulls are allowing the most total rebounds per game, as well as the most offensive rebounds per game.

As a team, Chicago is getting dominated on the glass. With Blake Griffin still out due to a prolonged hamstring injury, Andre Drummond should feast on this defense.

He is averaging 51 DraftKings fantasy points per game without Griffin this season. He leads the league in rebound percentage. He scored 61.5 DraftKings fantasy points per game against the Bulls last season. And, he has a strong chance of exceeding 20 points and 20 rebounds tonight.

Just this past Wednesday, he scored 21 points and 22 rebounds against the Toronto Raptors. Drummond tends to play better on his home floor, but this matchup with Chicago is simply too strong to ignore.

P.J. Tucker (SF/PF, $4,700)

P.J. Tucker is one of the best value options in the Houston Rockets’ and Brooklyn Nets’ game. He has been very consistent this season with 31 DraftKings fantasy points per 36 minutes.

He always fills the stat sheet with the intangibles, but Tucker has been an excellent three-point shooter as well. Of all the players who average at least three attempts from beyond the arc, he is leading the NBA in three-point percentage (59%).

His improved outside shooting should continue on tonight, as Brooklyn is surrendering the fourth most made three-pointers per game this season. Tucker should have no issues hitting five times value at his current salary.

Marcus Smart (PG/SG, $4,900)

With Jaylen Brown dealing with an illness on Wednesday night, Marcus Smart drew the start against the Milwaukee Bucks.

In a 19-point, come-from-behind win, he logged 38.5 minutes and finished with 37.5 DraftKings fantasy points. This was the highest amount of court time he has seen in 58 games. Brown is “unlikely to play” again tonight against the New York Knicks. Smart should start and see 35+ minutes.

He is producing 0.9 DraftKings fantasy points per minute this season, and in the 40 career games that Smart has cracked 35 minutes, he is contributing 32.4 DraftKings fantasy points per game.

The Knicks rank 19th in defensive efficiency, and Smart is way underpriced based on his starting role with Brown out.
