4 Players To Help Build Your Best NBA DraftKings Lineup (10/25/19)

4 Players To Help Build Your Best NBA DraftKings Lineup for October 25, 2019

by Al Hunter

Happy Friday, everyone.

Tonight, the NBA is offering a full slate with nine games to attack. Below are four players to help build your best NBA DraftKings lineup.

As always, if you need any further lineup advice, feel free to reach out to me on Twitter.

Top NBA DFS Play:

Karl-Anthony Towns (C, $10,800)

Karl-Anthony Towns started the season off with a bang on Wednesday night, exploding for 73.5 DraftKings fantasy points against the Brooklyn Nets. This game did go to overtime, but KAT earned an elite 1.9 DraftKings points per minute with a 29.3% usage rate.

Tonight, he is in another excellent spot against the Charlotte Hornets, a team that allowed the eighth most DraftKings fantasy points per game to opposing centers a year ago.

In his only two meetings with the Hornets, Towns feasted for 65 DraftKings fantasy points per game. In their season opener against the Chicago Bulls, Lauri Markkanen exposed the Hornets for 35 points and 17 rebounds.

Towns should continue his dominance tonight and eclipse 60 DraftKings fantasy points, making him a building block in all formats.

Value NBA DFS Plays:

Nikola Jokic (C, $9,300)

Spending up on both Karl-Anthony Towns and Nikola Jokic is a viable strategy for tonight’s slate.

Similar to KAT, Jokic is in a smash spot at home against the Phoenix Suns. The Suns were dreadful against opposing centers last season. They allowed a league-high total rebounds and most points in the paint per game. This resulted in the Suns surrendering the second most DraftKings fantasy points per game to opposing centers.

Additionally, Phoenix will be without their starting center Deandre Ayton, who is suspended for the next 25 games.

In three matchups against Phoenix last season, Jokic averaged 60 DraftKings fantasy points per game, including an 82.5-point outing.

He recorded nearly five more DraftKings fantasy points per game on his home floor in 2018-19, and “The Joker” should bounce back in a huge way tonight after a down performance on Wednesday.

Nemanja Bjelica (PF, $3,600)

With the Sacramento Kings’ starting power forward, Marvin Bagley, out with a thumb injury, Nemanja Bjelica will get the spot start tonight. Bagley missed extensive time last season, and in the 20 games that he was absent, Bjelica scored 25 DraftKings fantasy points per game.

Bjelica is a solid fantasy producer with 0.97 DraftKings fantasy points per minute. With Harry Giles nursing a knee injury, Bjelica should be forced into 25 to 30 minutes on the court.

This game has one of the highest totals tonight (227.5 points) and is expected to be very competitive (POR -2.5).

Bjelica has far more upside than his current salary suggests and is the top overall value on tonight’s nine-game slate.

Elfrid Payton (PG, $4,600)

Elfrid Payton didn’t start at point guard for the New York Knicks’ season opener against the San Antonio Spurs, but he ended up seeing the most playing time off the bench. In that loss, he logged 26 minutes, while none of the other point guards on the Knicks’ roster earned over 10 minutes.

With his expanded role, Payton scored 36 DraftKings fantasy points and was only two assists away from tallying a double-double. He ended up starting the second half of this contest over Allonzo Trier and is now expected to draw the start tonight against the Brooklyn Nets.

This inner-city matchup between the two New York clubs currently presents the highest game total tonight at 228.5 points. In all the games that Payton has competed in with a total of 225 points or higher, he is producing 33.4 DraftKings fantasy points per game.

Additionally, he was productive against the Nets last season with 34 DraftKings fantasy points per game. While it is extremely difficult to trust David Fizdale’s rotations, the reward outweighs the risk with Payton, especially if he is confirmed the starter.
