Daily Fantasy College Football Picks – Week 11

by Matt Gajewski

Welcome to the Week 11 edition of Matt Gajewski’sDaily Fantasy College Football Picks.

With a number of marquee games this weekend, DraftKings provided multiple contests to satisfy any college football lover.

This week’s contests feature LSU, Alabama, and a number of other ranked teams on the main slate.

Pricing does remain tight, but here are a few targets at each position for the Week 11 main slate.

Jamie Newman ($8,400)

QB – Wake Forest

In his return from injury, Jamie Newman posted 287 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, while adding a pair of scores with his legs. As a true dual-threat, Newman posted 305 rushing yards to date, despite missing two games.

This week, Newman draws a matchup against a struggling Virginia Tech defense. The Hokies currently allow 290.5 passing yards per game and 156.5 rushing yards on the ground.

With the game already totaled at 65 points via Vegas, Newman is a solid option at quarterback in Week 11.

Eno Benjamin ($6,800)

RB – Arizona State

Priced lower than expected, Eno Benjamin remains among the carry leaders on this slate. He already eclipsed 100 yards rushing four times this season and continues to see a work-horse role in this offense.

Also receiving 29 targets, Benjamin’s presence in the passing game provides a solid floor for DFS lineups.

This week, Benjamin is a home favorite against USC. USC currently permits 185 rushing yards per game.

Benjamin is fully capable of taking advantage of this matchup, making him a strong DFS play for Week 11.

SaRodorick Thompson ($5,700)

RB – Texas Tech

Earlier this week, Matt Wells announced that Armand Shyne will miss extended time with an injury. Now sharing a backfield with only Ta’Zhawn Henry, SaRodorick Thompson is slated to see an uptick in volume.

Already seeing his fair share of carries, Thompson averaged 17.5 carries per game in his last four contests.

Involved in the passing game as well, Thompson’s 26 targets rank in the top-five on tonight’s slate.

This week, Thompson faces a West Virginia defense allowing 180 rushing yards per game. Favored by 1.5 points, this matchup will favor a run-heavy approach from the Red Raiders.

Kendall Hinton ($5,700)

WR – Wake Forest

Priced below $6,000, Kendall Hinton averaged 10.7 targets per game in his last three contests. Completely over his mid-season hamstring injury, he posted at least 93 receiving yards in three straight games, as well.

During this span he out-targeted Scotty Washington 32 to 15. A clear stacking partner with Jamie Newman, Hinton provides another access point to a favorable matchup against Virginia Tech’s poor pass defense.

Collin Johnson ($5,400)

WR – Texas

Another player coming off a mid-season hamstring injury, Collin Johnson remains priced at $5,400 despite a massive role increase in Texas’ offense.

In his last three games, Johnson averaged 11.7 targets per game. He out-targeted Devin Duvernay 35 to 29 during this span.

While Texas draws a tough matchup against Kansas State this weekend, the Longhorns rank 13th in the country with 308.8 passing yards per game.

With volume on his side, Johnson is a solid play at $5,400 in Week 11.

Tyler Vaughns ($5,300)

Similar to Collin Johnson, Tyler Vaughns is simply too cheap for his projected target volume.

So far this season, Vaughns leads USC in targets with 74. However, he remains $1,100 cheaper than Michael Pittman, who received only 69 targets to date.

USC certainly has their hands full against a strong Arizona State defense this weekend. However, the Sun Devils are more susceptible to enemy passing attacks.

This season, they allowed 240 passing yards per game, but only 125 rushing yards on the ground. With USC coming in as road underdogs via Vegas, Vaughns provides solid value for a team expected to air it out.
