Daily Fantasy College Football Picks – Week 12

by Matt Gajewski

Welcome to the Week 12 edition of Matt Gajewski’sDaily Fantasy College Football Picks.

With a number of marquee games this weekend, DraftKings provided multiple contests to satisfy any college football lover.

This week’s contests feature tight pricing and a slew of studs on the main slate.

With that said, here are a few value plays to target Week 12 on DraftKings’ main slate.

Max Duggan ($6,300)

Continually underpriced, Max Duggan enters Week 12 at $6,300 after a disappointing performance against Baylor.

Not only did Duggan face a tough defense, but he played through a broken finger on his throwing hand.

This week, Duggan is another week removed from his finger injury and in a positive matchup against a Texas Tech defense ranked 129th in total passing yards allowed per game (326.9).

Also bringing dual-threat ability, Duggan looks poised for a bounce-back performance.

Breece Hall ($6,800)

RB – Iowa State

While Chuba Hubbard remains a lock, Breece Hall enters the week too cheap for his role in Iowa State’s offense. Hall currently averages just over 20 carries per game for the Cyclones, with 10 targets in his last two games alone.

Hall also finds himself as a 7-point, home favorite against a Texas defense that struggles to stop opponents in both phases of the game.

With a tight pricing structure, Hall makes sense for those trying to roster the expensive Hubbard.

TaZhawn Henry ($4,900)

RB – Texas Tech

Another running back on the cheaper end of the spectrum, TaZhawn Henry looks likely to handle an elevated role in Texas Tech’s offense after Armand Shyne and SaRodorick Thompson both fell victim to injuries.

With Thompson leaving last week’s game early, Henry earned 22 carries and 4 targets out of the backfield.

Henry draws a tough matchup against TCU’s stout defense this week, but his volume and price are nearly impossible to fade in this spot.

Jerry Jeudy ($6,700)

WR – Alabama

Priced down after a tough game against LSU, Jerry Jeudy’s season remains a slight disappointment after a breakout 2018 campaign.

Positively for Jeudy, he is the targets leader in Alabama’s offense with 77 and continues to work ahead of DeVonta Smith and Henry Ruggs.

Despite a tough matchup against Mississippi State, Alabama’s offense is still second in the country in scoring (47.8 points per game), making Jeudy a fantastic buy-low option this week.

Andrew Parchment ($5,600)

WR – Kansas

Looking to the mid-tier options at wide receiver, Andrew Parchment stands out as Kansas’ top receiving option. With 70 total targets this season, Parchment is averaging eight targets per game in his last three contests.

As it stands, bookmakers project Kansas at 17.5-point underdogs against Oklahoma State, pointing to a pass-friendly game script.

Positively, Oklahoma State ranks 120th in total passing yards allowed per game to opposing offenses (290.4). With volume and matchup on his side, Parchment is a strong play at $5,600.

Whop Philyor ($4,900)

WR – Indiana

Looking toward the bargain bin at wide receiver, Whop Philyor stands out with 81 total targets this season. Among healthy pass catchers, Philyor’s 81 targets rank second behind only Devin Duvernay on this slate.

Looking to Week 12, Philyor faces a tough matchup against Penn State. However, the Nittany Lions remain one of college football’s most distinct pass-funnel defenses.

This unit currently ranks fifth against the run, but 74th against the pass. Just last weekend, Rashod Bateman and Tyler Johnson diced up this secondary for 203 and 104 receiving yards respectively.

Severely underpriced given the volume he should see, Philyor looks like a strong target against a weak Penn State secondary.
