Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Football fan, who loves to talk about the game? Do you enjoy sharing your findings and musings with others, and feel you have an ability to express yourself in an engaging fashion?
Expand The Boxscore might be just what you need!
Available Position: Content Creator
Who we are: ExpandTheBoxscore.com is a year round website dedicated to all things Football. We are built off of our Advanced Statistics Databases, which feature College Football and NFL stats that are hard to find elsewhere, as well as our DFS tools. We also are a full scale NFL Draft site with a dedicated team of Scouts, and the best NFL Draft Guide on the market. We cover the entire spectrum, from Fantasy to Scouting to Gambling, and everything in between.
What we seek: We are looking for individuals who enjoy Football and are looking to gain experience in sharing their love of the game. Whether it be via written articles, podcasts, videos, or something else, we are grounded in a team dynamic where we all support each other, have fun in the process, and represent the XTB brand with pride. Coverage of Football is an extremely over saturated and competitive market, so we are looking for individuals that are understanding of this and committed to finding ways to stand out in a positive way. Candidates should have a firm grasp of social media, and be ready and willing to actively engage with other writers, sites, and followers, to assist in promoting your own work and others of XTB. Ideally, candidates would also possess other skills that can contribute to the site such as editing graphics, video, sound, or stat research, as a few examples. We do not have minimum or maximum requirements of weekly assignments, as we are more focused on quality over quantity.
What our goal is: We are designed to be extremely resourceful for all fans of Football, at the most affordable price. We feel we can get to the level sites like PFF, DLF, NBC Sports Edge, PlayerProfiler, and TDN have reached, as a few examples. We just completed our second full season in existence, and despite some setbacks with the challenges of Covid, have continued to trend in the right direction. We like this to be a fun and enjoyable work environment, and are looking for those who would like to come build and grow with us.
Compensation/Additional notes: XTB does not charge users for access to our articles and content. The majority of work in this industry has a short shelf life, and as mentioned before, it is an extremely competitive space. Compensation can and will be provided in some forms, but if that is your primary concern and only motivation, perhaps we are not your best option. Simply said, as a growing site, funds are limited. We would love to work with someone who is looking for an opportunity to grow in experience and exposure, and those who are understanding of that. We will provide editing, promotion, and graphics for your pieces, as well as any resources you may require, and are extremely loyal to those we work with. Keep in mind, the more users and subscribers we have, the more income there is. Creating content that stands out is a direct way to help accelerate not only XTB, and not only the compensation aspect of the role, but your individual career as well.
We would like the ability to measure all candidates on a case by case basis, where compensation can match experience, and a mutually beneficial relationship can be established. Since we cover all aspects of Football, we would like to ask candidates to identify if there is a specific topic they wish to cover (ie: Dynasty, Devy, IDP, DFS, etc). Additionally, please note what format you are looking to contribute: written, audio, video, other. We would also ask you to submit any previous examples of work you may have, or if that is not applicable, provide a 300-500 word sample of a player you think will underperform in the 2021 season, with some statistical examples of why. Audio and Video candidates can provide a 3-5 minute sample. Thank you for your interest in joining the team at XTB!
