19 Sep Daily Fantasy Must Starts for Week 2
Week 2 of the NFL season is upon us and what comes with it are some intriguing matchups. As a big daily fantasy player I’m always looking to find the best value at each position to give myself the best chance of cashing in week-to-week, so I’m here to tell you which guys I love this week around the league.
Quarterback – Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys
You’ll hear it here first! Dak Prescott is going to be QB1 in daily fantasy this week. Dallas plays host to the Atlanta Falcons, who just got lit up by Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks this past week.
Wilson finished with 300+ yards and four touchdowns and exploited the Atlanta secondary in every way he could, so I expect Prescott to do the same.
The Cowboys are coming off of a sluggish performance against the Rams and will look to open their offense a bit more to show that Week 1 was a fluke. Dak will fill up the stat sheet in a likely shootout so don’t be afraid to pull the trigger on getting him into your lineup.
Every dollar counts, so don’t break the bank for Patrick Mahomes or Lamar Jackson. Take Dak with confidence this week, you will not regret it.
Running Back – Derrick Henry, Tennessee Titans
Christmas is coming early for Tennessee Titans and Derrick Henry. His present is the Jacksonville Jaguars run defense. Last week, the Jaguars gave up over 200 total yards rushing and receiving to the running back position. 4
Henry as we all know is the focal point of the Titans offense and it would not surprise me the least if Henry sees another game of 30+ touches. The Tennessee receiving corps is already banged up (A.J. Brown is out) which should also mean a few more targets in the passing game.
Henry will bulldoze his way into the end zone a few times and give the Titans their first home win of the season.
Wide Receiver – Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
I am glad to say this name as my must play for this week – Tampa Bay Buccaneer Mike Evans. That is right everyone, my guy needs to be in every lineup possible. Evans will face the Carolina Panthers this Sunday and opportunities to produce will be there all day long.
Evans is a big bounce-back candidate from Week 1 after only bringing in one reception for a garbage time touchdown. Teammate Chris Godwin is doubtful with a concussion, meaning Evans has a chance for a monster game if he inherits the targets that would have gone Godwin’s way.
I got Evans dropping 100+ yards and scoring two touchdowns. I know I am the leader of the Mike Evans fan club but this matchup is too good to pass up. The Panthers have a really young secondary and Evans will be way too much for them to handle. Evans’ season starts Sunday so you better not miss out.
Tight End – Hunter Henry, Los Angeles Chargers
Hunter Henry is in line for a big day on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Fresh off an eight target, five reception, 73-yard performance against the Bengals, Henry gets a favorable matchup in which he should see plenty of looks in the passing game.
The Chiefs will be putting a lot of points on the board and the only way for L.A. to keep up is to throw the ball around as much as possible.
Chargers QB Tyrod Taylor is known for playing it safe and taking what the defense gives him, if that’s the case, expect plenty of volume to come Henry’s way.
I’m the guy who capitalizes on a players potential ceiling and with Henry’s current matchup, he has none; the sky is the limit this week for my top tight end play for Week 2.
